Scholarships in secondary technical vocation and higher education will be increased by 6.9%. A decision to this effect was taken by the Cabinet on February 2, IPN reports.

The higher scholarships will be offered as of this January. When the decision takes effect, the students will be offered a bonus equal to the difference between the size of the scholarship set by the given decision and the scholarship paid since January 1, 2022 and until the coming into force of the decision.

A sum of 17.4 million lei was earmarked for raising the given scholarships.
