The Superior Council of Magistracy has set up a working group that will analyze the execution of the Constitutional Court's ruling on the adjustment of judges' salaries in line with the inflation index, IPN reports.
The group will include representatives of the SCM, courts, government institutions and other interested parties. They will have 90 days to finalize the study, which is to be presented to the SCM Plenum and submitted to the Government, Parliament and other relevant institutions.
According to the SCM, the initiative aims to ensure a stable financial framework for magistrates and respect for the independence of the judiciary.
In recent years, judges' salaries have been increased by 14% and 15%.
