The National Patrolling Inspectorate said that owing to the thick layer of snow, the R 35 (km 4) road that connects Basarabeasca and Comrat towns is blocked. On the R 30 road, the access way to Ciobanovca village of Anenii Noi district is inaccessible, IPN reports.

In Cantemir district, the Vishniovca-Dedulesti road section is impassable, as it the R-32 road that connects Cahul and Taraclia towns. In Stefan Voda district, snowdrifts formed on local roads because of the strong wins.

In the first part of the day, the section of the national road R 3 between the villages Valea Perjei, Gradiste, Iurievca and Porumbrei of Cimislia district is inaccessible to traffic up to the express road M 3.

Eleven persons suffered different traumas in the 65 road accidents reported so far.
