The obligatory self-isolation for citizens entering Moldova could be revised. Public health professionals consider different options, including the possibility of waiving the obligation of self-isolation if the subject tests negative for Covid-19, communicated today the Minister of Health Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
Healthcare specialists also examine the option of the entry of foreign nationals into the territory of the Republic of Moldova, under the conditions of a possible negative test for COVID-19, but with aligning in this case also with a principle of reciprocity between states, coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, said the minister at a press conference.
Once the specialists reach a consensus, the proposals will be discussed at the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, which will take a final decision on this.
Currently, the mandatory regime for people entering the country is 14 days.
