Sellers of flowers and used mobile phones seek patents

Vendors of flowers and secondhand mobile phones Thursday protested in front of the Palace of the Republic, where the sittings of the legislative body take place, chanting they want to work at home, in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. “These people have asked to be allowed to wok under patent for three years. We want to pay taxes and work legally, but the authorities make us use underground ways. In many countries the people work under patent, but we are obliged to purchase cash registers and are fined. They provided no explanations when they decided to stop issuing patents. We want to pay money to them, but they do not accept it and do not allow us to work normally and legally,” said the chairman of the Small Business Association of Moldova Eugen Roscovan. The Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu, who approached the protesters, said the situation of these people is difficult and their demands should be thoroughly analyzed. “It is not right for a person who has three walnut trees and sells walnut kernel or who grows flowers to be forced to work under the same conditions as those who import materials and sell them on the home market,” said Mihai Ghimpu. The sellers of flowers and secondhand mobile phones are obliged by law to create private companies and issue receipts to the buyers. Until the law was amended, they worked under parent, which is a nominal state certificate allowing performing entrepreneurial activities within a certain period of time.
