The four men who staged an armed attack on a cash-in-transit vehicle in Rascani district of Chisinau two years ago got 13 to 24 years in jail. The sentence was passed on June 10. In May 2014, a man died, while another two were hurt in the attack, IPN reports.

One of the culprits admitted his guilt in the courtroom, while another one denied having been involved in this case and said that he will challenge the court decision. The other two defendants didn’t present themselves at the last hearing.

The four got a total of 77 years. The prosecutors intend to challenge the sentence because they consider it is too mild.

The lawyers of the two culprits who didn’t come to the hearing said they do not yet know if their clients will appeal the judgment because they didn’t manage to discuss with these.

The case happened near a shopping center in Rascani district in May 2014. Then, the driver of the cash-in-transit vehicle died on the spot, while another two men suffered serious injuries.
