Serghei Diaconu has been promoted from general secretary of the Ministry of the Interior to head of Prime Minister Dorin Recean’s Office. This was announced by the Cabinet’s spokesperson Daniel Vodă.
Prior to this the Cabinet approved Diaconu’s resignation from his previous position.
Diaconu was appointed MoI general secretary in December 2021. He previously served as Deputy Interior Minister and senior state adviser to Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici.
