The leader of the Anti-Mafia Movement Sergiu Mocanu lost a case and will have to pay 300,000 lei damages to Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco because he named him the ‘man of mafia’, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I was fined €20,000 for naming him the ‘man of mafia’ who favors all the criminal activities of Vlad Plahotniuc,” Sergiu Mocanu said. “I don’t know if my property sequestrated by Vlad Plahotniuc values so much.” Sergiu Mocanu filed a challenge to the Court of Appeals. There are three more cases that are yet to be examined: Mocanu vs Plahonituc, Mocanu vs Oleinic, and Mocanu vs Chetraru. “I will lose about €2 million more to Plahotniuc, about €1 million to Oleinic, and approximately 400,000 lei to Chetraru,” Sergiu Mocanu said. He also said he will appeal to all the national courts in order to defend himself.
