The National Army is prepared to offer assistance in alleviating the consequences of the heavy snowfalls. In a press release, the Ministry of Defense said the armed forces are ready to provide over 500 service members and special vehicles that can handle winter-weather conditions with ease, IPN reports

In the military garrisons in southern, central and northern Moldova, there were constituted mobile teams that can be involved in unblocking and snow removal works in localities and on the national roads if need be.

The Operational Command Center of the National Army is permanently in touch with the Operational Emergencies Management Center of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies so as to coordinate the eventual snow removal works.
