A Moldovan citizen was wounded on January 15, when he presented himself at the Galati border crossing point. He refused to go through all the formalities as he had contraband cigarettes in his car and tried to return to Moldova. A policeman opened fire when he did not want to stop. Afterward, representatives of the Moldovan authorities informed the press that the young man was taken to the hospital with a serious gun wound. The man’s state is grave, but stable.
