Seven districts to benefit from financing for developing integrated social services sector
The Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child and the Social Investment Fund of Moldova announced a contest to select seven districts where there will be implemented the program “Development of the Integrated Social Services System at Community and District Levels”. The seven districts will benefit from financial assistance to the value of $500,000 each, the Ministry says in a communique, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The program is supported financially by the European Commission and is administered by the World Bank through the Social Investment Fund of Moldova.
The seven districts will have to develop social community services for different vulnerable groups: children, teens, young persons, women, elderly people, persons at risk, etc.
The districts of Drochia, Sangerei, Falesti, Stefan Voda, Hancesti and the municipality of Balti cannot take part in the contest as they already benefited from foreign financial resources and created social community services.
The eligible districts can submit applications that must include: the needs of the beneficiaries, the strategic plan for developing social services, the contribution to developing these services according to the community needs, etc.
The applications can be filed to the Social Investment Fund until September 21, 2009, 18.00.
