Seven state registers to be digitalized next year
Seven state registers will be digitalized in 2012. They were selected by the Council of Coordinators of the Governance e-Transformation Project, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Vlad Manoil, electronic services manager of the project, said the seven registers were chosen out of 28 proposed by 10 ministries and three agencies.
There will be digitized the following registers: the register of state material reserves, the Ministry of the Interior’s operative files, the register of noncommercial organizations, the register of persons with disabilities, the state sport register, the register of producers and processors of products of vegetal and animal origin, and the Civil Registry Archive.
According to Vlad Manoil, US$8 million is needed for digitalizing the Civil Registry Archive alone. The existing 32 registers and archives can be digitalized at a cost of US$200 million. The money will be allocated from the budget and from donors.
Within the Governance e-Transformation Project that is financed by the World Bank with US$20 million, money will be also earmarked for training public servants.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Viorel Gutu said that the digitalization of the register of producers and processors of products of vegetal and animal origin is very important for the Agriculture Ministry, especially in connection with the launch of the talks on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.
The digitalization of registers will continue until 2020.
