Sheriff down, Dacia and Iskra up in world club rankings

Sheriff Tiraspol continue to lose positions in the world club rankings. In the September rankings released by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics on October 4, the Moldovan team fell 46 spots, Info-Prim Neo reports. Sheriff share the 185th position with Gaz Metan Medias Romania and Mazembe Lubumbashi Congo. The Tiraspol team won no trophy in the 2010/2011 season and thus dropped considerably. Instead, Moldova’s champion Dacia Chisinau climbed 22 spots to the 198th. The holder of Moldova’s Cup Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa went up 20 positions to the 285th. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United top the list. The rankings are based on the results in domestic and European competitions over the last 12 months.
