Sheriff Tiraspol tied 1-1 with Dinamo Zagreb in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round. The match was played in Tiraspol on July 28 and was watched by over 10,000 spectators, Info-Prim Neo reports. Dinamo opened the score in the third minute through Sammir. Moldova's champion managed to score at the end of the first half through Russian striker Aleksandr Erohin. In the second half, Sheriff attacked more, but could not score even after Dinamo's Barbarici was eliminated in the 61st minute. In the second leg that will be played in Croatia next week, Dinamo will be in a more advantageous position owing to the goal scored abroad. In order to qualify, Sheriff must either win or draw. In case of defeat, Tiraspol will play in the Europa League playoffs.
