Sisters found dead in Chisinau apartment

Two sisters aged 22 and 8 were discovered dead in an apartment in Chisinau’s Botanica district. According to preliminary inquiries, they died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Liliana Puscasu, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the rescuers were called by neighbors, who felt unpleasant smell coming from the girl’s apartment. They forced the door and found the two sisters dead. According to the General Police Commissariat spokesman Adrian Jovmir, the last time the girls were seen last Saturday. The neighbors went to the door of their apartment at the request of the girls’ parents, who work abroad. The parents could not get in touch with their daughters for several days. The police said the bodies did not have signs of violent death on them. Most probably they poisoned from a prohibited heating installation. The 22-year-old girl was a student, while her sister went to school. An investigation is under way.
