Six drownings reported in two days
Six men aged between 30 and 55 drowned in Moldova during the last two days. Liliana Puscasu, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that most of the victims drowned after 5pm.
A 30-year-old man drowned in a pond in Lozova village of Straseni district. Another one aged 32 drowned in a lake in Echimauti, Rezina.
A man aged 52 died in a rowing channel in the municipality of Balti, while a 54-year-old man got drowned near Lapusna, Hancesti.
Two men, of 37 and 52, drowned in ponds in Moara de Piatra village, Drochia, and Zolotievca village, Anenii-Noi.
A number of 55 persons, 14 of whom minors, have drowned in Moldova since the start of this year.
