Small residential blocks helped to conduct energy audit

Small residential blocks will benefit from assistance in carrying out energy audits and technical projects. In this regard, GIZ Moldova has launched a call for project proposals for Condominium Owners' Associations (COAs), IPN reports.

According to the call for proposals, COA owners will be able to apply for one of the 30 energy audits or one of the 10 free technical pilot projects for the managed small residential blocks (with up to 20 apartments).

"The purpose of energy audits and technical projects is to prepare for the subsequent implementation of energy rehabilitation measures and renewable energy solutions," said the National Center for Sustainable Energy.

The Moldovan Residential Energy Efficiency Fund (MREEF) financing program was approved by the Cabinet last April. According to estimates, around 1.4 billion lei will be allocated in 2024-2027, and the MREEF’s budget will be managed by the National Center for Sustainable Energy.
