The crossborder project “Improvement of the response capacity of Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication” (SMURD) will be implemented in 2013 – 2015. The implementation period was agreed in a meeting of the Romania- Moldova interministerial working group, IPN reports.

According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service of Moldova, the goal of the project is to improve the response capacity in emergencies. The services will be performed through the agency of a common integrated monitoring system.

For the project to be implemented, the legal framework on the management of emergencies in Romania and Moldova should be assessed.
