Snow forecast after Old Christmas

Precipitation, primarily in the form of sleet, is expected on January 7-9, mostly in northern and central Moldova. It will snow all over the country on January 10 and 11, IPN reports, quoting forecaster Natalia Shkarevnea.

A cyclone that is approaching Moldova will bring a change in weather. It will grow colder and the sleet will gradually turn into snow.

Unstable weather conditions will persist until January 11. No precipitation is forecast for January 12 and 13, but the weather will remain cold.

On January 7-10, nighttime temperatures will oscillate around 0°C, but will then decline to -12°C on January 12-13. Daytime temperatures during January 8-10 will vary between 0°C and +5°C.
