The authorities will monitor the way in which the social welfare is used by beneficiaries. The benefit must be used strictly for the benefit of the family, for satisfying the necessities related to food, clothing, dwelling, hygiene, medical care and mandatory schooling of children. Otherwise, the authorities will have the right to withdraw the benefit. This is provided in a bill that was passed by Parliament in the first reading, IPN reports.
Under the bill, the recipient of social welfare will sign an agreement with the social assistance division whereby this will pledge to use the benefit for its purpose. The social assistance division will constitute commissions that will selectively check the authenticity of the information presented in the application for providing benefit and will draw up the social questionnaire.
If the recipients do not fulfill the obligations assumed by the cooperation agreement, the head of the social assistance division, within five working days of the compilation of the benefit utilization report, will warn them in written form that the provision of social welfare will be halted if the rules are repeatedly violated.
