About 50 million lei from budgetary resources was paid to residents of the eastern districts of the country and Bender municipality in the first half of this year, IPN reports.

Thus, 2,457 persons residing in the Transnistrian region benefited from such payments, including 715 persons - from monthly allowances for raising children - from old-age pensions, 488 - from allowances for temporary incapacity for work, 231 beneficiaries - from monthly state allowances, 118 - from one-time childbirth allowances, etc.

In 2023, more than 182 million lei of budgetary resources were paid to the inhabitants of the eastern districts of the country as health insurance and social assistance costs. Compared to 2018 last year, the number of beneficiaries of pensions, allowances and other categories of payments increased from 1,295 to 2,912 people (+124.9%), while the amounts paid increased from 30 million lei to 85.4 million lei (+184.7%).

In total, the amounts paid to the mentioned categories of persons in the last five years came to 330.23 million lei.
