Launched at international level, IFprofs is a project of the Paris French Alliance that was joined by 30 countries in 2016, while 20 countries are expected to join the social network in 2017. Moldova is among the latter.
The key words of the website are: navigate, discover, publish, communicate, and be aware of the events, practices and innovations that exist in francophone education. The teachers of French will be able to enrich their knowledge, to exchange teaching practices and resources with colleagues from the country and abroad and to establish relations with the francophone community all over the world.
In particular, the opening of the local platform IFprofs Moldavie is aimed at favoring interpersonal contacts and teaching exchanges between francophone teachers from the country and at offering new prospects of communication with colleagues all over the world, owing to the new opportunities provided by modern technologies.
The event will represent a nice occasion for francophone teachers from the country to meet and socialize, either they are secondary school or university teachers or students or officials in charge of linguistic missions.
In the event, the initiators and partners of the project will launch the Ifprofs Moldavie contest that aims to boost the platform and to encourage the members to explore all the available resources. The most active and exemplary members chosen based on the criteria announced beforehand will be awarded such prizes as a trip to Paris, a tablet PC, a dinner for two persons and others.
The event will take place in the Senate Hall of the State University of Moldova, situated at 60 Mateevici St in Chisinau, starting at 9:30 on September 16.
