Somebody is interested in denigrating police, “Demnitate” trade union

Somebody is interested in making the police obey the political class, as several years ago. All the accusations made against the bodies of the Ministry of the Interior the last few days are a political game, said the head of the trade union of police officers and employees of the law enforcement bodies “Demnitate” Mihail Lascu, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. In a news conference, Mihail Lascu referred to the accusations leveled at the police bodies by members of the Committee for the Defense of the Constitution and Democracy, who said that the police officers take steps to intimidate the supporters of the Committee and to compromise the protests staged in the Great National Assembly Square. Mihail Lascu said these statements are groundless and populist in character. ”Until now, the police did not receive applications or petitions concerning certain acts done by the police to violate the right to assembly,” said the head of “Demnitate”. Mihail Lascu urged the members of the Committee for the Defense of the Constitution and Democracy and other organizations not to allow denigrating the police. “Nobody has the right to insult or mistreat the police officers. We consider that when exercising their right to protest the people should not violate the rights of the policemen. The police aim to maintain public order during protests and to prevent challenges,” he stated. According to Mihail Lascu, the criminal authority Micu’s recent statements that the police prepared his liquidation are unfounded and are aimed at discrediting the police.
