People in Soroca have been left without natural gas since Monday evening, August 1. Ion Spinei, Deputy Mayor of Soroca, told Info-Prim Neo that the local gas utility, the joint enterprise SEF Gaz Ltd., was disconnected from the gas network by the regional provider, Floresti Gaz Ltd, because of debts. Ion Spinei said he didn’t knew the exact number of people left without gas supply, but estimated the figure at 15% of the town population. Local authorities will meet with representatives of gas providers to find a solution. SEF Gaz board members weren't available for comments.
