The Ministry of Justice, together with the Department of Penitentiary Institutions, is launching a contest to select candidates for the unit for implementing the project to build a new penitentiary. The project is supported and financed by the Council of Europe Development Bank. The new penitentiary will have 1,536 places and will replace Penitentiary No. 13 located in Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Justice, the manager and personnel of the unit will be selected from among employees of the penitentiary system given that they have the necessary experience.

The eight vacancies are: project manager, specialist in acquisitions, accountant, specialist in penitentiary security, mechanic/electrician, specialist in sanitary installations, civil engineer, specialist in human resources, and translator/executive assistant.
