Spectators invited to play “Kings, Queens and Other Heads”
Adults and children are invited to a dance and theater performance with humor and fantasies at the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu”on Tuesday evening. “Kings, Queens and Other Heads” forms part of the sixth four-day Modern Dance Festival “Adults and Children, Meeting Place”, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Vitalie Ermicioi, the president of the Association for the Development of Modern Dance of Moldova, the festival is designed to create good mood and unforgettable impressions.
“The festival tries to promote new methods of teaching choreography to children and grownups and to support the children express themselves creatively in a constructive way,” Ermicioi told a news conference on Tuesday.
““Kings, Queens and Other Heads” is a Moldovan-Ukrainian-Belorussian co-production of the Swedish director and choreographer Benno Voorham. It will involve the Moldovan dance group “Voices”, the Modern Dance Theater “Potoki” from Ukraine, the Dance Theater “Quadro” and the Dance Group “Gallery” from Belarus.
The costumes of the participants were made by Moldovan designer Tatiana Popescu. The performance stats at 18.00. A ticket costs from 35 to 50 lei.
The program of the festival includes dance workshops, seminars, debates on subjects that are of interest to the children. An exhibition by the German painter Thomas Haentzchel titled “In Motion” will be set up in the Theater's hall.
The project is implemented with support from the Swedish Institute, the European Cultural Foundation, the Swedish association LAVA-Dansproduction and the Association for the Development of Modern Dance in Moldova.
