Two men were seriously injured in an accident on the Salcuta – Opaci road in Causeni district, not far from Zaim village. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Dana Andronic, spokeswoman for the Traffic Police Division, said the VAZ-2106 driven by a man aged 70 skidded at a bend and overturned. The driver suffered multiple fractures and a myocardial contusion, while a female passenger aged 76 sustained politraumatism and fractures. Both were admitted to the Causeni district hospital. An Opel with four occupants skidded and crashed into a tree. The accident happened on the Ugheni – Macaresti road. Three persons aged between 30 and 31, including the driver, received different traumas. A driver lost control of the truck on a slope on the Mihailovka – Porumbrei road. The vehicle crashed into the back of another truck and overturned. The man and a woman aged 29 suffered injuries. Twenty persons were hurt in accidents on the national roads on Monday, September 20. The 1,941 traffic accidents that occurred in Moldova since the start of this year resulted in 266 deaths and 2,512 persons injured.
