As of July 1, 2017, the State Chancellery will use the digital signature for signing documents in electronic format in all the cases, replacing the handwritten signature on paper. In a press release, the Chancellery says this will contribute to the efficient implementation by the institution of the “paper-free Government” initiative and the electronic documents management system “e-Management”, IPN reports.
The digital signature will have the same legal effect and will better ensure the security of the holder’s identity, the authenticity and integrity of the documents.
The digital signature will improve the work of the State Chancellery. The Chancellery and the state-run Special Telecommunications Center initiated cooperation in the certification of public keys and related services.
