The residents and guests of Chisinau are invited to the traditional Strawberry and Bee Honey Holiday. The charity fair will take place in the square of UNIC Department Store on June 7. The money raised will be used to support the adults and children suffering from cancer. “We want that more people become aware that it is the duty of the society to support the helpless. The state does not take care of all the sick people so that everyone should engage,” Victoria Condrat, official of the Medical-Social Philanthropic Foundation “Angelus Moldova” and organizer of the event, has told Info-Prim Neo. Another aim of the fair is to promote consumption of strawberries and honey for a healthy lifestyle. “At such events, we have the possibility of meeting personally the buyers of our products and study their preferences. I think that such fairs should be held more often, in other settlements of the country as well,” said Ion Ciocan, president of the Association of Gardeners, Fruit Growers, Winegrowers and Flower Growers “Demetra”. The concert that will be held during the Strawberry and Bee Honey Holiday will involve Olga Ciolacu, Anatol Marzenco, Tudor Ungureanu, Nina Ermurache, Maria Tarna and other singers. On August 2, there will be held the first Festival of Cucumbers and Bee Honey. The Strawberry and Bee Honey Holiday is organized by the Medical-Social Philanthropic Foundation “Angelus Moldova” in cooperation with the Beekeepers Association “Apis Melifera” and the Association of Gardeners, Fruit Growers, Winegrowers and Flower Growers “Demetra”, with support from the National Farmers Federation of Moldova.
