A studentwill stand trial for lying about an act of terrorism. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, on June 1 the young man informed the police that dormitory No. 2 of the Chisinau Ecology College will soon blow up, IPN reports.

After all the persons were evacuated from the dormitory, the building was thoroughly examined, but no explosive devices were identified. As a result of investigations, it was established that the young man lived in that dorm and was a student of the Ecology College.

When questioned by prosecutors, the culprit said that he resorted to such an act because he was driven away from a room where a number of students were having a party. He thus decided to take revenge.

The young man faces up to one year in prison, a fine of up to 10,000 lei, or up to 240 hours of community service.
