Supervisory Board announces vacancies on Teleradio top three executive positions
The Supervisory Board (SB) of the national broadcasting company Teleradio-Moldova announced today openings for the top three executive positions in the company, after sacking the general director of the company and the directors of the national radio and television, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The discharged Teleradio director, Valentin Todercan, currently serving as caretaker, was instructed to prepare within 15 days a financial report for the first 9 months of 2009 and another report accounting for the monthly earnings of each employee. The directive was met with opposition by Todercan, who argued that the deadline was too short, adding that he can't be fired twice.
The Board sought the report after the Anticorruption Center initiated investigations into the financial affairs of the company. It was said in a notification submitted to the head of the parliamentary economics committee, Veaceslav Ionita, that the discovered shortcomings are “grave”, that includes the decision of ex-president Vladimir Voronin to supplement the financing of equipment renovation.
The vacancies for the Teleradio senior executive posts will formally open with their publication in the Official Gazette.
