Parliament named Petru Ursache as vice president of the Supreme Court of Justice and president of the Penal Board for a four-year period, IPN reports.

In 1988-1990, Petru Ursache worked as a judge at the Buiucani Court, while from 1990 until 2002, he headed this court. In 2002-2007, he served again as a judge at the Buiucani Court. Afterward, he held the post of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice, where he worked until now.

In the same sitting, Parliament appointed three persons to work as judges at the Supreme Court of Justice until they turn 65. These are Maria Ghervas, Petru Moraru, and Nadejda Toma.
