President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree to constitute the Supreme Security Council in a new composition, IPN reports.

Under the decree, the post of the Council’s chairman will continue to be held by Nicolae Timofti. The new members are: Head of Parliament Igor Corman; Prime Minister Iurie Leanca; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman, and Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin.

The President’s adviser on national security and defense Alexei Barbaneagra was named the Council’s secretary.
