Revenues in the amount of 34.7 billion lei, administered by the State Tax Service, were accumulated during the first six months of this year into the National Public Budget (NPB). This is by 3.61 billion lei more than in the corresponding period of 2023. Compared to the set objective of 34.05 billion lei, by 647.25 million lei more was collected, IPN reports.

In the period, the Service collected 1.5 billion lei from delinquent taxpayers to have their tax obligations cleared.
 
928.6 million lei was transfers from the bank accounts of delinquent taxpayers and their debtors, 21.7 million lei - funds withdrawn from cash desks of delinquents taxpayers, 559.7 million lei – amounts collected after taking preliminary actions in order to recover tax debts.

During the first semester of 2024, 1,655 taxpayers from various sections of the national economy were monitored. Tax obligations in the total amount of 343.7 million lei were paid to the NPB.

The State Tax Service in the first half of the year carried out 295 tax inspections according to the plan and 1,645 unplanned tax inspections.
