The best squads of rescuers and firefighters that qualified at the zonal competitions held in northern, central and southern Moldova are taking part in a national championship today, Sergiu Barbu, spokesman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo . A jury will assess the performance of the firefighters and rescuers in a number of events, including the 100-meter relay race, rope climbing and descending and others. The final will take place on Friday, October 23. The best team will win two firefighting machines. Seventeen teams of firefighters and four teams of rescuers are participating in the championship. The competitions are held on Dinamo Stadium starting at 11.00.
