Two temporary accommodation rooms for asylum seekers were opened at the Basarabeasca Border Police Sector. The rooms, one for women and the other one for men, are outfitted with essential things such as beds, cupboards, tables, chairs and access to sanitary facilities, IPN reports.
The rooms were set up with the assistance of the Representative Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Moldova.
Three foreigners have asked for asylum in Moldova so far at the Basarabeasca Border Police Sector.
