Termocom SA says heat supply could be delayed

The local public authorities in Chisinau say that the administrators of the capital city’s housing sector do not hurry to obtain technical passports for the supply of heat, though it is only a month before the start of the heating season. Mihai Arusoi, commercial director of Termocom SA, warns that by October 10, five days before the beginning of the heating season, all the administrators of the housing sector in Chisinau must have technical passports. Otherwise, the heat supply would be delayed. At Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, Arusoi said that so far Termocom has signed only several dozens of passports for the apartment blocks that have finalized the repair and cleaning works on the internal networks. According to the cited source, up to 600 passports should be submitted to Termocom for signature each week for the heat supply to start in time. Some 2 842 residential blocks in Chisinau municipality are connected to the centralized heating system. A number of 1 620 blocks are managed by the municipal enterprises administering the housing sector, 622 by the Associations of Privatized Dwelling Owners, 320 by the Construction Cooperatives. As many as 243 are departmental blocks and 273 are private houses. There are 4 684 apartment blocks in the municipality of Chisinau. A number of 1 643 of them are supplied with hot water in a centralized way.
