Termocom will have new administration in two weeks
The Chisinau City Hall will take over the heat supplier Termocom SA, which has been transferred to the local public authorities by a court decision, in two weeks. The announcement was made by Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca at Monday's meeting of the Chisinau services and divisions, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the mayor, Termocom has debts of about 2 billion lei. The members of the company's Administration Board will be appointed soon. “After the reorganization, we will discuss all the problems in accordance with the rules laid down for other municipal companies so as not to generate new losses ans debts,” Chirtoaca said.
Asked by Info-Prim Neo, Termocom commercial director Mihai Arusoi said the debts of about 1 billion lei accumulated until 2002, when the insolvency procedure was initiated, are supervised by the Creditors Council, while the other debts are hanging over the company. Arusoi said the level of payments for heat this year is higher than last year. The Chisinau City Hall paid 15 million lei in compensations for the socially deprived groups of people, as against 8 million lei the previous heating season.
Asked by the journalists if he wants to be named director of the the Supervisory Board of the municipal company Termocom SA, Mihai Arusoi said he feels better near the consumers.
