Three candidates were admitted to the public contest to fill the post of director of the Administration Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER). These are Lilian Barcaru, Tudor Braniște and Violina Șpac. The three were chosen out of eight candidates who submitted their files to the Parliament’s commission on economy, budget and finance, IPN reports.

The candidate who will score the highest number of points at the interview stage on December 24 will be proposed to Parliament.

Under the law on the energy sector, the NAER director is appointed by Parliament. The candidates must have higher education in technology, economy, finance and law and work experience of at least ten years in one of the mentioned areas, at least three of which in executive posts. They also must have irreproachable reputation and should not be party members.
