Three countries participate in National Youth Camp 2012

An international summer school for communication and leadership will take place in August, in Cahul, the south of Moldova. The program will host youth from Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Ion Donea said that the summer school “Youth – the promoters of the future” takes place in Cahul, because the city is “The Youth Capital of 2012”. The event is supported by the local administration and is part of the Euro region priorities; it will focus on Romanian-speaking youth from Odessa (Ukraine), Romania and Moldova. The organizers aim at training the 40 youth in communication and leadership, and the establishment of partnerships between NGOs and youth from different areas. Coordinator of the Euro region “Dunarea de Jos” (Lower Danube) Iacob Ajder pointed that the Cahul district Council would cover all of the expenses. Doina Dusa, methodic instructor in youth-related issues of the Cahul district Council, said that the school is for youth who graduated high school and are between 19 and 25 years of age. Those who are interested in participating must fill in an application form, which is downloadable from www.tineret.md. The deadline is July 20. Along with informative sessions, the summer school will organize recreational activities that would stimulate the youth’s logical thinking. The youth will stay at the “Romantica” camp in Cahul, August 23 to 26.
