Two woman aged 54 and 46 and a 68-year-old man died because of COVID-19 on April 23, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

The 54-year-old woman was from Taraclia. She was admitted to the National Clinical Hospital on April 13. She suffered from hepatic insufficiency, severe thrombocytopenia and renal insufficiency.

The woman aged 46 was from the municipality of Chisinau. She was transferred to the Emergency Medicine Institute from “St. Archangel Mikhail” Hospital on April 7.

The man was from Râșcani district. He was taken to the hospital in Râșcani on April 13. He suffered from cardiac insufficiency.

The death toll from COVID-19 in Moldova now stands at 79.
