Another three types of civil status documents can be now requested online, in addition to the first documents available online since last December and this September. These are the duplicates of the civil status documents (birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates), civil status extracts or civil status documents rectification or modification certificates, IPN reports.

According to the authorities, the launch of these services takes place in the context of e-transformation agenda whose primary goal is to provide services of a high quality to citizens by using information technology.

“I’m sure that the Civil Status e-Services will be popular with our citizens, both in Moldova and abroad. The major goal was to simplify the method of asking for civil status documents and of paying for them. We now must work out an efficient method of delivering documents at home,” said Minister of Justice Efrim Oleg.

The Civil Status e-Services can be accessed on the governmental portal servicii.gov.md with the Mobile Signature or Digital Signature and can be paid through the governmental electronic payments service MPay, by bank card, in cash or by internet banking.

From last December, the people can request online the civil status certificate and the name and/or surname non-modification certificate, while from this September – multilingual extracts (birth, marriage and death certificates).
