The national roads in Soroca, Soldanesti and Rezina districts are impassable owing to ice, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Traffic Police Department. According to Paulina Iakimovski, of the Traffic Police Department's Public Relations Service, the rain and low temperatures transformed the roads into a very dangerous skating rink. The traffic police took drastic measures, closing the most difficult road sections. The movement of high tonnage vehicles is restricted, including at the customs post Tudora in Stefan-Voda district. The drivers are asked to travel at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour inside settlements and 50 kilometers per hour outside them and observe the distance between vehicles. The police ask the people to inform about traffic blockage on 255 – 920. The telephone line works nonstop. According to the Traffic Police Department and the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, 104 units of transport and 269 employees of the special services have been involved in road cleaning works. Thirty employees of the Traffic Police supervise the problematic road sections.
