Three pedestrians hurt in road accidents
Three pedestrians were injured on Thursday in separate accidents on Moldova's roads, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Traffic Police's PR department.
A 50-year-old woman was struck by a Peugeot, driven by a 29-year-old man, in the village of Pitusca, Calarasi district. As a result, the woman suffered multiple injuries.
A 45-year-old man from Cantemir was admitted to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital after his pelvis was fractured in a traffic accident. Apparently inebriated, the man was struck by a taxicab as he tried to jaywalk across Calea Basarabiei Street.
Another man, 43, was hit by a Ford-Transit minibus in the intersection of the streets Varlaam and Ismail.
On Thursday, the traffic police recorded 3 accidents with 3 persons injured. 24 fines were issued for driving unbuckled and 43 for speeding.
