Three-quarters of subsidized places for bachelor’s degree programs taken in first round of enrollment

In the first round of the university enrollment session, just over 13,000 undergraduate students were admitted. This is by 15% more than in the same period last year. To date, 76% of the government-subsidized places have been taken up. 3,158 candidates were enrolled in master’s programs, with 85% of the subsidized places filled.

The Ministry of Education and Research says that the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy has already fully covered the number of subsidized places available.

For the second enrollment round, which will end on August 30, there are 1,206 subsidized places up for grabs for bachelor’s degree programs, and 334 for master’s degree. There are still vacant places at the Ștefan cel Mare Academy, the Academy of Economic Studies, the Technical University of Moldova, the State University of Moldova and the State Pedagogical University.

The enrollment process also continues at the state universities in Balti, Cahul, Comrat, and Taraclia.

As in previous years, the most popular specialties are Law, Economic Sciences, Educational Sciences, Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy, and ICT.
