Moldovagaz and Moldtelecom head the rankings of the top 50 companies with the highest market value with 3 billion lei and, respectively, 2.7 billion lei. The authors of the study – EVM Grup – say the ranking is dominated by companies from the telecommunications, energy and banking sectors. The study was published in the journal “Standard Financiar” (“Financial Standard”), Info-Prim Neo reports.
SA Orange Moldova ranks third with a market value of 1.5 billion lei. It is followed by BC Mobiasbancă - Groupe Societe Generale SA with a market value of 1.49 billion lei.
BC Banca de Economii SA takes the fifth position with a value of 1.05 billion lei.
The largest bank in Moldova, BC Moldova Agroindbank SA, is ranked only sixth owing to a low quotation on the stock exchange. Eximbank - Gruppo Veneto Banca SA comes next. The eighth and tenth positions are taken by two companies operating in the energy sector - RED Union Fenosa and CET-2.
Among the agroindustrial companies present in the rankings are Barza-Alba (12th), Sudzucker-Moldova (17), Aroma (18th), Floarea Soarelui (23rd), Vinia Traian (26th), Bucuria (28th), Tutun-CTC (29th), Alfa Nistru (31st), Incomlac (34th), Carmez (41st).
The authors of the study say the largest joint stock companies in Moldova have a market value of about 20 billion lei. The average value of a company included in the study is 394 million lei.
