The Chisinau administration has spent about 1.4 million lei on snow removal works this year. The snowploughs work on the streets again, but the movement on the roads is still difficult, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the head of the General Division of Public Transport and Communications Veaceslav Tarna, all the available snowploughs have been set to work. “About 1.482 million lei has been spent on cleaning works since the start of this year,” he said. “Though traffic on some of the streets is difficult owing to the glazed frost, there was reported no deviation or blockage.” The press office of the Traffic Police said the 198 road accidents that happened in Chisinau last week resulted in two deaths. There were drawn up 829 reports, including over driving under the influence. About ten persons have been injured, two of whom seriously. The Chisinau authorities call on the drivers to be attentive on the roads and avoid speeding. The snow removal works go on. More snow is forecast for the coming days. The temperatures will drop to minus 17-15 degrees Celsius.
