The video system for monitoring road traffic is extended all over the country, including on the national roads. By the end of 2016, surveillance cameras will be installed in another 250 intersections, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Ministry of the Interior, as a result of a joint inspection carried out with the Chinese partners, it was established that the project was implemented on time and the sides fulfilled the obligations laid down in the cooperation agreement signed in 2011.

A number of 350 surveillance cameras have been set up until now. The Ministry of the Interior has 45 radars that identify violations of the traffic rules and software enabling to automatically process the information transmitted by cameras from the 45 intersections in Chisinau.
