Trains going to Moscow, Saint Petersbourg and Bucharest will have more car on Easter
The number of passengers on the trains operated by Moldova's Railways rises by 40% on average during Eastertime. Therefore, the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure increased the number of cars of the trains going to Moscow, Saint Petersbourg and Bucharest, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Moldova's Railways examines the demand and takes a decision depending on the results. This year, there will be attached a maxim number of cars possible,” said Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Management Valeriu Ciubuc. According to him, 52 cars will be added to the trains traveling on the Chisinau-Moscow route, 16 to those that travel on the Chisinau-Saint Petersbourg route, and two to the Chisinau-Bucharest trains.
“One railway terminal can deal with a particular number of cars and passengers,” Valeriu Ciubuc said, underlining that the demand on Easter is higher than the company's technical possibilities.
