A truck with foods intended for flood victims left this morning for Obileni village of Hancesti district. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca is accompanying the aid, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the City Hall's press service. The products are a donation made by the Chisinau City Hall and the municipal company Central Market. There were collected by 300 kg of pasta and sugar, by 290 kg of couscous, buckwheat and rice, canned fish and meat, oil and vegetables. Five trucks with 30 tonnes of drinking water also left for the flooded villages. Yesterday, the Chisinau City Hall launched a campaign to collect aid for flood-affected persons from Cotul Morii, Nemteni and Obileni, Hancesti. The collection points will be open daily, from 8am until 6pm. The population is asked to donate non-perishable foods, blankets, mattresses, clothes and footwear. The City Hall also called on the people and companies to transfer money to the bank accounts opened by the Ministry of Finance.
